Aston Martin reveals launch date for 2022 contender
Aston Martin has put itself on pole as the first F1 team to reveal its 2022 car, with the Silverstone-based outfit set to pull the covers off its AMR22 on February 10. Ferrari had previously announced that it would roll out its 2022 charger around February 16-18, but without specifying the exact date. Aston Martin will unveil its car at the automobile manufacturer's headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire. As F1 teams enjoy a complete reset in the wake of the introduction of an entirely new rule book, Team Silverstone is seeking to turnaround its performance this season after a disappointing 2021 campaign that saw it finish just seventh in the Constructors' standings.
