Mercedes announce date for launch of 2022 car

The team confirmed the unveiling of the W13, their first car built to Formula 1's new regulations, via a post on their social media channels on Tuesday morning. Mercedes become the latest team to set their 2022 launch date as a result, following recent announcements from Ferrari, McLaren and Aston Martin. Mercedes intend on carrying out a shakedown ahead of pre-season testing. The W13 will be put through a shakedown programme on 18 February to complete initial system checks on the Silverstone circuit.
