Video: McLaren's new F1 car roars into life!

Video To news overview © McLaren McLaren's MCL36 is officially alive, as the team fired up the Mercedes power unit in the back of their 2022 car. With F1 introducing vastly different technical regulations for 2022, there's plenty of anticipation for the new cars ahead of pre-season testing in Barcelona and Bahrain, before the campaign itself gets underway. Launch season is yet to officially begin, with the earliest confirmed launch currently being Aston Martin's AMR22 on 10 February. McLaren will follow suit just a day later, pulling the covers off the MCL36 on 11 February, but took the opportunity on Wednesday to perform a first fire-up of their new car at their Woking base.
