Sauber breaks silence on Audi exit

Sauber Managing Director Alessandro Alunni Bravi has insisted that Audi are committed to joining the Formula 1 grid in 2026, in response to recent rumours that the German manufacturer are set to exit. Several rumours have circulated over recent weeks suggesting that Audi are considering not joining the sport when the new power unit regulations are introduced in 2026, something which would leave Sauber with a lot of work to do. As per their current agreement, Audi will obtain a 75-percent stake in Sauber come 2026, meaning that the Hinwil-based outfit will become an Audi works team.
