Sainz continues F1's trophy-smashing trend after Netflix Cup triumph

Article To news overview © XPBimages Carlos Sainz became the third driver to smash a winners' trophy this season after securing victory in the inaugural Netflix Cup. Ferrari driver Sainz had come out on top in the F1 meets Golf event at the Wynn, Las Vegas, after partner and major championship winner Justin Thomas closed out in the final nearest-to-the-pin playoff. The Netflix Cup played on the success of both Drive to Survive and golf's own version, Full Swing and saw Sainz, Lando Norris, Pierre Gasly and Alex Albon paired with PGA Tour professionals Thomas, Rickie Fowler, Tony Finau and Max Homa.
