What can we tell from Horner's statement? 'They already know'

Red Bull Racing has to look for a new engine supplier at breakneck speed. At least, that's what most followers assumed shortly after the news that Honda was withdrawing. However, the option of further developing the Honda engines themselves is being taken more and more seriously. For example in the Formula 1 Café on Ziggo Sport. Christian Horner reported this week that Red Bull prefers to announce a new engine supplier before the end of the season. Mercedes, Ferrari and Renault, however, all say that they are not yet in talks with the Austrians, with Mercedes even ruling out cooperation.
