Renault pair point out pit lane faults
The pit lane at Portimao has caused a lot of discussion within the F1 paddock. After a discussion on Friday evening at the drivers briefing, the FIA has made adjustments to the pit lane exit, but the drivers still expect dangerous situations to arise. The problem is that drivers are unable to build up enough speed for the first few fast corners. As a result, they could be a danger to the rest of the field. That is why the pit lane has been slightly modified so that the drivers can build up more speed. It can still be dangerous, according to Daniel Ricciardo.
