Italian media report Zanardi is responding by making hand movements
Alessandro Zanardi was seriously injured in a crash earlier this year. The Italian has been in hospital for a long time. This is because of serious complications and severe damage to his head. He also underwent several brain surgeries and was occasionally transferred from hospital to specialised rest home and back again. Now almost half a year later there is some good news to report. Thumbs up The Italian Corriere Della Sera reported that Zanardi was responding by making hand movements. In fact, he would be able to shake hands and raise his thumb in response to questions.
