Domenicali: F1 in discussions with other manufacturers

New Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has confirmed that the sport is in talks with manufacturers about a potential future entry. With Honda leaving F1 at the end of this season, Ferrari, Mercedes and Renault look set to be the only power-unit suppliers from 2022, although Red Bull are in talks about taking the Honda engine in-house. Domenicali did not give too much away but said it was 'good news' that manufacturers still see value in being part of the series. 'What I can say is that we are in discussion with other manufacturers,' he told Sky Sports F1. 'For the moment, they prefer to stay quiet still.
