‘Grumpy Hamilton not super-happy with contract talks'

Spending time together recently for Sky F1 filming, Martin Brundle thought Sir Lewis Hamilton seemed “grumpy” and less than thrilled about his contract talks with Mercedes. Hamilton has signed a new one-year deal with the seven-time World Champions as he targets an eighth individual title of his own in 2021. Pre-season testing in Bahrain was only a matter of weeks away when the contract agreement was announced, and Mercedes F1 team principal and co-owner Toto Wolff suggested a lack of negotiating opportunity and time was the reason for just the one-year duration.
