Schumacher ruled out of qualifying after FP3 crash

Mick Schumacher has been ruled out of this afternoon's Monaco GP qualifying after his car sustained heavy damage in a crash in FP3. The Haas rookie lost control of his car on the exit of Casino Square, clouting the barriers on the left-hand side of the track and inflicting heavy damage on his VF-21 which cannot be repaired in time for qualifying. The mishap was Schumacher's second contact with the wall, having brushed the barriers on Thursday at the end of FP2 when he ran wide at Massenet. On Saturday, up until his mistake, Schumacher - who set the 14th fastest lap in FP3 - had enjoyed a relatively strong session, outpacing Haas teammate Nikita Mazepin for the first time this weekend.
