'Perez needs to improve in qualifying to help Verstappen'
Max Verstappen has with Sergio Perez a third new teammate next to him since 2019. But according to father Jos Verstappen, the collaboration between Perez and Verstappen is very much liked. Perez the ideal teammate? Verstappen has a serious chance of winning the title in 2021 and he has teammate Perez to thank for that. The Mexican had to learn the ropes in the first races for Red Bull, but now knows how to attack the Mercedes and defend when he's ahead. "It works very well. Perez needs to improve a bit in qualifying to help Max," said Jos Verstappen at F1-Insider.com. "There he still has a few weaknesses. So far he is doing very well."
