A New Year's day genesis for the 'X' factor
F1i wishes a happy birthday to the great Jacky Ickx, who turns 77-years-young on this first day of the year. As one of motorsport's greatest all-rounders, the legendary Belgian often put his rivals in his shade over he course of his long and successful career, be it in Formula 1, sportscar racing, Can-Am or in the grueling Paris-Dakar rally-raid event. A superb stylist and a man who mastered the elements - as well as the Nürburgring's 'Green Hell' - Ickx achieved his very last F1 win at the Race of Champions at Brands Hatch in 1974.
