Ferrari change test plans amid confusion over regulations

Article To news overview © Ferrari Ferrari have confirmed a change of plan for their test session at Maranello this week as they seek clarity from governing body the FIA over the regulations. The team announced on Monday that they would be using their 2021-spec SF21 for the four-day session, seemingly in breach of the current testing regulations, which state that cars cannot be used from the previous year's championship. While they wait for clarity from the FIA, Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz and test driver Robert Shwartzman will use the SF71H from 2018.
